Serving the Native Communities of the Chugach Region
The Emergency Response program provides village and city councils updated and new equipment for EMS services to improve communications, patient care and patient transport. The program also coordinates medical training from First Aid to Emergency Medical Technician and numerous Safety and Injury Prevention classes.
The Emergency Response Program Manager is the point of contact for many agencies involved with the provision of medical and safety services within the region and represents the communities at the state level.
Heritage Preservation
Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
