Join us our upcoming Laugh & Learn to meet John Yakanak on July 12. We will share some background about our new clinician. He is a talented artist and a warm and effective Master’s level clinician. He will serve the villages of Tatitlek and Chenega. He will share a beautiful video about his times in Cordova.
Throughout the region, he will coordinate the 988 Crisis Line Project. Currently, John takes a turn carrying the Chugachmiut crisis phone: 844-891-0444.

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
