Chugachmiut will be closed Monday, June 19, 2023 in observance of Juneteenth. Jan Vanderpool, Executive Director, has granted the early closure of Chugachmiut offices & clinics at 3:30 p.m. for Regularly Scheduled Staff & 4:30 p.m. for Flex Scheduled Staff on Friday, June 16, 2023. Clinical Staff & VPSOs, please continue to follow on-call emergency procedures during the early closure & holiday. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
