Chugachmiut will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Jan Vanderpool, Executive Director, has granted the early closure of Chugachmiut offices and clinics on June 18 at 3:30 p.m. for regularly scheduled staff and 4:30 p.m. for flex-scheduled staff. Clinical Staff & VPSOs, please follow on-call emergency procedures during the early closure and holiday.

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
