Join Chugachmiut Heritage Preservation for a “Getting Our Stories Back” Virtual Show & Tell from Chugachmiut Elders in Berlin on Friday, April 28 at 9-10 am on Zoom. Hear from Chugachmiut elders who are traveling to the The Ethnological Museum of Berlin.

Many items are not particularly well documented. A part of the Elders visiting the museum is to correctly identify items from the Chugach region and other regions. For example, this hood (pictured) is from the Dena’ina Athabascan from Southcentral Alaska.

Llangarlluni: Becoming Aware

Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
