Information Technology is of utmost importance in remote villages. Chugachmiut’s IT department is continually assessing the needs of its community health clinics and researching the best possible infrastructure solutions. It has been instrumental in launching and maintaining the telemedicine program and electronic health records. The department is available for technical assistance to tribal offices as well in the handling of technical issues to ensure necessary services to its residents are not disrupted by technology concerns.
Heritage Preservation
Our vision is to revitalize the traditional Chugach Native culture and language. The goal is to make Sugpiaq/ Eyak history and heritage a part of the regular school curriculum with support and direction from our Elders’ traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).
